Letter From the Founders
Recovery is an opportunity to rebuild.
When people enter recovery, they often believe they are starting over. We see it differently.
Recovery is an opportunity to rebuild, not just sobriety, but identity, relationships, purpose, and self-respect.
Healing River House was created to provide more than a bed. We strive to create an environment where clients can develop the skills, accountability, and confidence needed to build meaningful lives.

Recovery Tip of the Month
Progress Beats Perfection
Recovery is not about perfection. It is about showing up, being honest, asking for help, learning from mistakes, and taking the next right step.
One good decision repeated daily can change a life.
Understanding Trauma and Recovery
Healing needs more than abstinence.
Substance use disorders frequently develop alongside unresolved trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, or other mental health challenges. For many people, substances become a way to cope with emotional pain.
True recovery requires more than stopping substance use. It requires healing, emotional regulation, healthy communication, boundary setting, stress management, self-worth, and coping skills.
